For the first time in its 96-year history, TIME has named an Athlete Of The Year. This first winner is a group, the US Women’s Soccer Team, who say they are still fighting for more than the World Cup they won this summer.
Instead of choosing Person of the Year runners-up, TIME dedicated covers and honors to those who dominated their fields this year, including singer Lizzo who is named entertainer of the year.

What a political reach for the last one and this clearly shows some of the bias if you will, but they’re all safe choices, there is still no mention of anyone risking everything, including their lives, for the same freedoms we enjoy say like the people of Hong Kong
