Islam Exposed: Why It Is a False Religion of Deception and the Catholic Church Is the True Church Founded by Christ
If the Bible is the true Word of God and Jesus Christ is who He claimed to be — the eternal Son of God, crucified for our sins, risen from the dead, and the Head of His Church — then Islam is a false religion. The Quran directly contradicts the Bible on the most important truths about God and Jesus. It denies the crucifixion, lowers Jesus from Lord to prophet, rejects the Trinity, and presents a different god.
The Catholic Church is the true Church established by Christ on the rock of Peter. It has preserved the full deposit of faith for 2,000 years through apostolic succession. Islam has no connection to the Apostles. Its claims rest on one man in the 7th century and a book that contradicts the earlier revelation.
One of the clearest signs of deception is this: The Quran repeatedly describes Allah as “the best of deceivers” (or “best of schemers/planners” — Arabic makr). Surah 3:54 says: “They planned, and Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.” Similar language appears in other verses.
The Bible warns us to beware of the great deceiver — Satan, called “the deceiver of the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44). When a religion’s own book attributes “best of deceivers” language to its god while denying the central act of Christ’s redemptive work on the Cross, that is not coincidence. That is the mark of the great deceiver at work.
Here are clear comparisons that show why Islam is false and stands in opposition to the truth revealed in the Bible and preserved by the Catholic Church:
- The Trinity vs. Strict Monotheism The Bible reveals one God in three divine Persons. The Quran attacks the Trinity and insists Allah has no son. This is not the same God.
- Jesus as Eternal God vs. Created Prophet The Bible says Jesus is God from eternity (John 1:1, Colossians 1:15-17). The Quran says Jesus is a created messenger and not divine.
- Crucifixion and Resurrection The Bible centers everything on Christ’s death and resurrection. The Quran denies He was crucified at all (Surah 4:157). This is a direct attack on the Gospel.
- Original Sin and Redemption The Bible teaches humanity fell through original sin and needs a Savior. Islam teaches humans are born good and can earn salvation through works and submission.
- Salvation by Grace vs. Works Catholics are saved by grace through faith in Christ, with works as the fruit. Islam teaches a balance of good and bad deeds plus the Shahada. No assurance of salvation exists in Islam.
- Bible as Sufficient vs. Quran as “Correction” The Bible is complete and preserved. The Quran claims the Bible was corrupted and that it came to correct it — while borrowing stories from the Bible and then changing them.
- Apostolic Succession The Catholic Church has an unbroken line of bishops from the Apostles. Islam has zero connection to Peter or the Apostles. Its authority comes from Muhammad’s claims.
- God as Loving Father vs. Distant Master The Bible reveals God as a loving Father who seeks relationship. In Islam, Allah is primarily a master; humans are slaves. The intimate Father-child relationship is missing.
- Jesus Accepts Worship In the Bible, Jesus receives worship. In Islam, prophets do not accept worship — only Allah does. This shows Jesus claimed what only God can claim.
- No Assurance of Salvation vs. Hope in Christ In Islam, even the best Muslim cannot be sure of Paradise. In Catholicism, through the sacraments and faith in Christ’s finished work, we have real hope and assurance.
- Jihad and Violence vs. Love of Enemies The Quran contains commands for fighting and subduing non-Muslims. Jesus taught to love your enemies and turn the other cheek.
- Polygamy and Treatment of Women The Quran allows men up to four wives. Catholic teaching upholds the dignity of women and the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman in marriage.
- Sensual Paradise vs. Beatific Vision Islamic descriptions of Paradise focus heavily on physical pleasures. The Catholic vision of Heaven is eternal union with God Himself — seeing Him face to face.
- No Valid Priesthood or Sacraments Islam has no priesthood or sacraments instituted by Christ. The Catholic Church has seven sacraments that actually convey grace through the power Christ gave His Apostles.
- Jesus as “Word of God” but Not Divine The Quran calls Jesus the “Word of God” but denies He is God. The Bible (John 1) says the Word was God and became flesh.
- Denial of Jesus as Son of God The Quran strongly denies God has a Son. The Bible presents Jesus as the eternal Son of the Father.
- Muhammad as Final Prophet vs. Jesus as Fulfillment Islam says Muhammad is the seal of the prophets. Christianity says Jesus is the fulfillment of all prophecy and the final revelation.
- Claims of Bible Corruption Muslims often say the Bible was changed. Yet the Quran itself affirms the previous scriptures as guidance. This is self-contradictory.
- Blasphemy and Apostasy Laws Many Islamic societies punish leaving Islam with death. Jesus and the Church teach freedom to follow truth, not forced submission.
- Origins and Pagan Connections The Kaaba and certain pre-Islamic practices were incorporated into Islam. The Catholic Church traces directly back to Christ and the Apostles without pagan origins.
The Bottom Line
The Quran glorifies a god who is described as the best of deceivers while denying the Cross and the divinity of Christ. The Bible warns us about the great deceiver who opposes the truth about Jesus. These are not small differences — they are fundamental contradictions.
If the Bible is true and Christ is Lord, then Islam is a false religion that leads people away from the only Savior. The Catholic Church alone has the unbroken apostolic authority Christ gave and preserves the full truth about Him.
Christ is not just a prophet. He is God. He died on the Cross. He rose again. He founded His Church on Peter and the Apostles. That Church is the Catholic Church.
Anything that denies these truths — no matter how many good moral teachings it contains — is false. The contradictions are not accidents. They are the work of the deceiver the Bible warned us about.
Turn to Christ and His Church. Everything else is a counterfeit.
