Harvey Weinstein’s Lawyer Pleads for Jurors to “Step up’ & be the ‘Last Line of Defense’
Harvey Weinstein’s lead defense attorney Donna Rotunno told jurors during closing arguments at his sexual assault trial that they were the “last line of defense” against “overzealous” prosecutors.
His attorney went as far as to say they made this up like some sort of Hollywood script disgrace a wealthy executive in the movie industry. Rotunno went even further digging herself in a ditch claiming the prosecutors are playing the role of producers in this trial intending on tricking them to find her client guilty.
Rotunno has said that Weinstein’s accusers were up to no good and having transactional sex to give themselves gains in Hollywood.”You don’t have any eyewitnesses, you don’t have any DNA or photos of injuries, there is no forensic evidence whatsoever.”
Wha will be of the landmark #MeToo case? Will justice prevail or will money and fame thrive in Gotham City? If justice is not served I could see riots happening around the country or at least thousands of protests.
The 67-year-old Weinstein has said every encounter with the women were always consensual, he’s pleaded not guilty to all charges.
