Weinstein did the interview from the great rooms in the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center on Friday, a day after three-hour spinal surgery to remove a trio of bone plates compressing his vertebrae. He said he sustained the back injury in an Aug. 17 car accident. His intention were to show the public he wasn’t faking.

I’m sure after his trial, he will somehow make a great recovery as if nothing ever happened. Weinstein refused to talk about any of the lawsuits filed against him.

In just weeks before his trial on rape and sexual assault charges, the Hollywood producer and former film studio agreed to a lousy $25 million settlement for the women and employees which brings an end to nearly every assault lawsuit filed against Weinstein and his now-bankrupt, The Weinstein Company. The settlement is pending court approval and a final signoff by all involved parties.

More than 80 women have accused the former studio head of sexual assault and or harassment. Weinstein has pleaded not guilty and maintains that any sexual activity was consensual.
