Alec Baldwin has been under immense pressure since October of 2021, when a prop gun that was loaded with a live round ended up killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Witnesses say Mr. Baldwin was rehearsing drawing a prop gun while filming on the set of his new film “Rust” in New Mexico. But a lawsuit that’s been filed against the actor says the script did not require him to fire a gun at all. That inevitably would have prevented Ms. Hutchins from being fatally shot.

ALEC BALDWIN & THE PHONE

Last month, a warrant was issued by a Sante Fe court in New Mexico to obtain Alec Baldwin’s phone. Investigators believe “there may be evidence on the phone” that could be “material and relevant to this investigation.”

Just three weeks prior to the warrant, Baldwin gave an interview where he stated that he was fully cooperating with the Santa Fe investigators in order to get to the bottom of what really happened that day on the set.

Oddly enough, during that same interview he expressed relief because people were telling him, “it’s highly unlikely that I would be charged with anything criminally.” I found that comment extremely unnecessary for him to make as he moves the focus from the deceased Ms. Hutchins to himself.

THE PHONE PT.2

Alec Baldwin took to Instagram in a pissed off mood after reports surfaced that he was not complying with the New Mexico investigators by not turning over his phone eventhough the authorities have had a warrant to obtain it for weeks now.

“The only way we can honor the death of Halyna Hutchins is to find out the truth; that’s what I’m working towards. Insisting on. Demanding.”

Baldwin took aim specifically at the New York Post calling their accusations, “lies, and bulls–t and nonsense.” The actor dismissed reports that he’s been uncooperative, yet he goes on to “justify” the reasoning of not giving authorities his phone then tweaks his compliance statement.

“This is a process where one state makes the request of another state,” he explained of the New Mexico warrant. “It’s a process that takes time, they have to specify what they want. We are one thousand percent going to comply with all that.”

So let me get this straight, You’ve stated that you’ve been complying with authorities? But now it sounds more like you’re going to comply with them as long as it benefits you and doesn’t further jeopardize your freedom? Which is it?

“They can’t just go through your phone and take your photos, or your love letters to your wife, or what have you,” Mr Baldwin said.

Are you really worried your actual privacy Alec? Or are you truly worried about what authorities may find on your phone? What are you hiding?

Mr. Baldwin has been consistent saying he never pulled the trigger of the gun that shot and killed Ms. Hutchins and maintains “any suggestion that I’m not complying, is a lie.”
