The former professional wrestler and Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura is considering he might run for the office of the President for 2020 as an independent.
Venture who is also 68-years-old, to Trumps 71, is an author and TV show host. He said that if he were to join the race for the White House, he’d wait until the pool of candidates narrowed.
“I may be doing things behind the scenes right now,” Ventura said, with a wink to the host. “You gotta wait for it to get down to two, then you come in if you’re going to come in.”
“I have that voice in the back of my head that says to me, ‘if not me, then who?,'” the former wrestling star said on Fox 11 Los Angeles’s “The Issue Is.”
This isn’t the first time this has happened though he did it in 2012 and 2016, and even teased running as a member of the green party for this election. Ventura eventually didn’t do it.
Ventura’s taking shots at president trump especially for avoiding the Vietnam War draft, claiming “He couldn’t even do one day of boot camp to be a private” and that the President who participated in three WrestleMania’s saying, “He knows he can never out-talk a wrestler, and he knows I’m the greatest talker wrestling’s ever had.”
I’m not sure how to take this as it’s been heavily documented that Trump got his way of campaigning from that of his good friend Jesse Ventura, even Roger Stone has made these claims. I’m honestly confused if this is true or is this a ploy for Trump himself? I’m lost, what are your thoughts?
I like Jesse Ventura, always have. I would consider his views rather than vote by party maybe President Trump and Ventura know something we don’t and Jesse becomes his running mate as Pence is being targeted now, who knows? He is libertarian-leaning but also pro ecology so he believes in the civil liberty aspect and the dismantling of the military-industrial complex machine. I’m so confused about how this going to go.
