The United States has killed Iranian Major-General Qassem Soleimani, head of the elite Quds Force and spearhead of Iran’s spreading military influence in the Middle East, in an airstrike at Baghdad airport.
Pentagon came out with a statement on the airstrike that killed commander Qassem Soleimani. “This strike was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans. The United States will continue to take all necessary action to protect our people and our interests wherever they are around the world.”
The Iraqi government is not pleased with the assassinations. The PM says the U.S. strikes violated Iraq’s sovereignty. The Iraqi government can be as displeased as they want to. Americans were under attack multiple times by terroristic strikes from this general. He has killed the threat was eliminated. America doesn’t let their own people just die like other ones do.
Iraq was incompetent to defend the U.S. Embassy. The Iranians violated U.S. sovereignty when they violently breached the U.S. Embassy compound.
The state Department of the United States has put out a statement:
Due to heightened tensions in Iraq and the region, we urge U.S. citizens to depart Iraq immediately. Due to Iranian-backed militia attacks at the U.S. Embassy compound, all consular operations are suspended. U.S. citizens should not approach the Embassy.

Employees of foreign oil companies operating in Iraq are heading to Basra Airport for evacuation, sources say.
Iraq will hold an emergency Parliament session Saturday following US airstrike, deputy parliament speaker says, adding the meeting will make “decisive decisions that put an end to US presence inside Iraq.”
Reuters has reported that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei says anti-U.S. resistance will increase after Qassem Soleimani’s death, state television reported.
We wish the best for every innocent civilian and American and pray they get to safety and evacuate.
