Nearly all applicants for US visas will have to submit their social media details under newly adopted rules.
The State Department regulations say people will have to submit social media names and five years’ worth of email addresses and phone numbers. An estimated 14 million travelers and 710,000 immigrants to the US each year will be affected by the changes.
My question is who the hell will have time to look through 5 years of an estimated 14 million people, its sounding like China and their social currency. How will any of this be authenticated?
And if the information on social media use is not submitted accurately on the visa application due to a misunderstanding, the issuance of the visa can be held up, or worse, the applicant can be rendered inadmissible for fraud or misrepresentation.

It makes me laugh because it’s as if the American government doesn’t have access to the social media accounts already, just ask Obama and NSA, CIA, FBI or whoever else is in the alphabet. Isn’t his a good idea?
I’m pretty sure if needed to get a Visa I wouldn’t even get in due to my social media activity because I’m very outspoken.
