Breaking News: At least 11 people are dead & 6 hospitalized after a mass shooting in Virginia Beach, Virginia
At least 11 people are dead and 6 have been injured after a city employee opened fire at a Virginia Beach municipal center, 1 officer was shot but saved by the protective vest, according to police.
According to Police, “The gunman, a longtime employee of public utilities, entered the bldg. and immediately began firing at victims on multiple floors; officers entered, secured as many victims as they could and engaged the suspect, returning fire; the suspect is dead.”
CNN hosts and guests were speculating about whether the center had “active shooter drills” so people would know what to do. Really? Because normalizing active shooter drills makes it any better, it makes it worse. The police did not clarify what kind of gun was used nor did they disclose what was the motive of this tragic event.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families affected by this tragedy, God bless them and protect the United States of America. We’ll have more in this story as it continues.
