Lori Loughlin has turned herself into police 3 weeks earlier than she’s supposed to so she can begin her prison sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal.
Aunt Becky and her husband Mossimo Giannulli plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud in a plea agreement filed in Boston’s federal court. Prosecutors for some insane reason agreed to dismiss charges of money laundering and federal programs bribery that were added after the case was filed.
Loughlin will be serving a ridiculous and charitable amount of time, 2 months, in which she deserved to be sentenced in my opinion to at least 1-2 years. If this was me or you we would’ve been given 3-7 years for sure.
She’s also set to pay a $150k fine and will be on 2 years of supervised release when shes released from her little stint in the joint. She also has to perform 250 hours of community service. Mossimo will serve 5 months in prison with a $250k fine and 250 hours of community service.
As I mentioned months ago, she deserved more time but she also should have to pay for a mandatory scholarship that would pay for student admissions over the next ten years. Her and her husband should run for political office as they’ve sternly denied any wrongdoing and claimed the $500,000 they paid to manipulate documents for their children was simply a donation, I can’t make this up.
Lori will be serving her time at the same facility as actress Felicity Huffman served her 11 days last October. Absolutely Insane! Huffman was in general population and had to follow all the rules, including a 5 a.m. wakeup call, a uniform of khaki pants and a brown t-shirt, and five inmate roll calls per day. Loughlin will be expected to follow the same rules as set forth by the Bureau of Prisons.
Makes you think if Hallmark is waiting for her to be released and make a “based on a true story” kind of film about the actresses fiasco. I won’t be shocked if she’s released early for overcrowding. Justice was not served here folks in either of the Huffman or Laughlin cases.
