According to Pamela Anderson, who was on Good Morning Britain, her unlikely good friend and founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange is being psychologically tortured. Julian Assange is currently in a high-security prison in London.
She recently went to visit Assange and she claimed, “When he saw me, he hugged me and lifted me off the ground.” She also expressed that she cared about Assange and didn’t want to leave him especially because she advocates the type of journalism he practices. “This is a good person who has dedicated himself to exposing the truth to the public. He’s in prison because there are a lot more secrets to keep. He’s a fantastic guy.”
Arrange who is 48, was due to be released from Belmarsh yesterday after serving half of his 50-week prison sentence for skipping bail. However, Westminster Magistrates Court ruled he will remain behind bars over fears he might flee before he’s extradited to the US over computer-hacking allegations.
There will more than likely be a legal battle between Assange’s lawyers and the U.S. authorities before the extradition case is settled. The court case should start next month.
Free Assange is imperative for global and free press everywhere. His mission was to expose the truth and look at what happened, the people behind the lies created more lies to ensure he doesn’t do unscathed. People like Assange are being prowled upon and demonized for their heroic efforts.
National security does not mean we justify breaking the law because those who possess power deem it appropriate, NO! The Constitution is the law of the land and the greatest document in history and it must be obeyed. If the people in power do not think that they shouldn’t they serve to have all their secrets exposed to the fullest.
Obama’s history with whistleblowers was horrible, which will forever leave a legit dent on his already tarnished tenure as president of the United States. In his eight years in office, the Obama Justice Department spearheaded eight Espionage Act prosecutions, including Chelsea Manning, making it more than all U.S. administrations combined.
Journalists were so pissed even The New York Times reporter James Risen called Obama “the greatest enemy to press freedom in a generation.” President Trump needs to let it go and clear Assange.
