Dr. Fauci whill make a guest virtual appearance at Super Bowl 55 today where he will address the 25,000 fans attending the event in person and the millions watching around the world.
Of those 25,000 fans attending the nation’s biggest event of the year, Fauci will express his “profound gratitude” to 7,500 vaccinated healthcare workers who will be in attendance, thanks to the NFL.
Fauci obviously is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who with President Trump led the country’s effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic for the last year.
Dr. Fauci Warnings for Super Bowl Gatherings
Fauci is pleading with Americans to watch the Super Bowl between The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay buccaneers within their immediate households due to the coronavirus pandemic, saying large events could become “mini super spreader” events.
“Enjoy the Super Bowl, but don’t do it with a large crowd of people in your house in a place when it’s cold and you don’t have good ventilation,” Fauci said. “It’s a perfect setup to have a mini super spreader event in your own house. Don’t do that for now. There will be other Super Bowls.”
“If you don’t know what the status of a person is vis-à-vis whether they’re infected or not, you’re really putting yourself and your family in danger,” Fauci said.
“As difficult as that is, at least this time around, just lay low and cool it,” Fauci told NBC earlier in the week. Pretty sure part of it is Biden just doesn’t want his numbers skewed to make it seem as if he hasn’t had a problem at all handling the situation but that’s just my opinion.
I’m sure the Biden administration is also hoping that this will be the most viewed Super Bowl in history considering the Coronavirus is keeping people home still as cities are still shut down. The Democrats love an audience and they know there’s going to be more people watching than ever before because of who’s playing and the pandemic itself, they just better not cross the line.
If Fauci begins fear mongering during this event, rest assured he and the administration will get nothing but backlash from the public. And the NFL better be careful because if that happens people will stop watching going forward.
People still want to enjoy a football game with their families and friends not listen to constant political rhetoric all the time, we just want a break and we deserve one.
I’m praying for my Kansas City Chiefs to pull out another Super Bowl victory and bring that trophy home to the heartland. GO CHIEFS!!!!
