Actor Lori Loughlin and her husband have agreed to plead guilty in the U.S. college admissions scandal. Loughlin is to serve 2 months in jail and Mossimo Giannulli will serve 5 months, and both will pay fines. The deals must be approved by the judge. They are scheduled to plead guilty Friday via video conference.
They’ve agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud in a plea agreement filed in Boston’s federal court. Prosecutors have agreed to dismiss charges of money laundering and federal programs bribery that were added after the case was filed.

News Alert*: They know they won’t see the inside of a jail cell with Coronavirus, they’ll do their time from the comfort of their cushy home. $150,000 is not enough, they need to set up several recurrinfull-ride scholarships follow-income female students over the next 10 years.
This news release counts them as the 23rd and 24th parents to have pleaded guilty.
At least 53 people, including some Canadians, were charged with participating in a scheme in which wealthy parents conspired with a California college admissions consultant to use bribery and other forms of fraud to secure the admission of their children to top schools.
Loughlin, 55, and Giannulli, 56, were scheduled to go to trial in October on charges that they paid $500,000 (all figures US) in bribes to get their daughters into the University of Southern California as crew team recruits, even though neither of them played the sport.
The denying couple has insisted they were innocent and said they believed their payments were legitimate donations. Earlier this month, the judge rejected their bid to dismiss the case over allegations of misconduct by FBI agents investigating the scam.
Serious questions if anyone can answer. Why is he getting 3 months longer? Why is it that women always get less jail time than men when committed the same crime? Wheres the feminists protesting for equal rights now?
People are in control of the messaging they send to children inside the home and outside of it. They’ve taken total advantage of this pandemic, and they have no consideration of the students they prevented from entering that University along with the other people who do it and have done it forever around the world. They took opportunities and dreams away from students who truly deserve them.
