In an appearance on Fox & Friends, Lindsay Graham said Trump should focus on criticizing Democratic policies rather than personal attacks. He then went on to term Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others as “a bunch of communists” who “hate our own country, ”among other things that hit nerves everywhere on daytime television.
The group of freshman he’s taking aim at are House Democrats that includes obviously Ocasio-Cortez, Representatives Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts. After Graham’s remarks about these women, he then told the president to “aim higher.”
“They are American citizens. They won an election. Take on their policies. The bottom line here is this is a diverse country.”
This was in response to tweets sent out by President Trump telling “Progressive Democrat Congresswomen” to go back to the “totally broken and crime infested places from which they came, then come back and show us how it’s done.” The quote was completely distorted by media outlets with them only showing the first part of that quote, saying countries, etc.
Where do they come from?
Ilhan Omar comes from and represents Minneapolis where the overall crime rate is 136% higher than the average of crimes committed in Minnesota. It is also 109% higher than the national average. When it comes to violent crimes, Minneapolis, MN shows a crime rate that is 362% higher than the Minnesota average. The crime rate is also 188% higher than the national average. When it comes to property crimes, Minneapolis, MN is shown to be 112% higher than the Minnesota average and 96% higher than the national average.
AOC represents the 14th district of New York including Queens and the Bronx and the chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime in the Bronx is 1 in 33. Based on FBI crime data, Bronx is not one of the safest communities in America. Relative to New York, Bronx has a crime rate that is higher than 94% of the state’s cities and towns of all sizes.
Ayanna Presley Is the representative of the 7th congressional district in Massachusetts and it’s actually one of the safest and nicest places to live in the United States or even the world.
While Rashida Tlaib represents the 13th district in Michigan that covers Wayne county including Detriot. Detroit is one of the most dangerous places in the country where you have a chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 15.
Maybe the president was right and calling the representatives to return to where they came so they can fix it, with the exception of representative Pressley of course.
False Narrative
The media outlets have aimed to make President Trump look like a racist and have been successful with many of the sensitive left believing it. It’s clear they took his words and automatically manipulated them to imply something completely false he was not saying.
You know what? I love Trump, but one thing is clear he’s very insensitive and it stems from his lack of love from his father. This has happened since he was a teenager seeking approval but never getting it. People knew who trump was prior to but conveniently and apparently they’ve forgotten.
Today President Trump dug his feet in the ground demanding an apology from the congresswomen to the country and his administration.
