Who’s on the clock? Patrick Mahomes is. For the first time ever ABC will air all three nights of the NFL Draft, with the first two nights in prime time slots and the other Saturday during the day. Mahomes will be joining ‘Good Morning Americas’ Robin Roberts and the ‘College GameDay’ crew among several others.
The reigning and defending NFL MVP was drafted two years ago. Mahomes was the 10th overall pick in the draft where the Kansas City Chiefs actually moved up to get him. Could you imagine Mahomes playing for someone else??
I think Mahomes will bring a current day outlook on what it takes to be a quarterback in this age or athlete for that matter. Mahomes will definitely bring a unique perspective on what you have to do to win in today’s game, the pressures, the social media aspect of it all and whether a team should draft young quarterbacks to sit under veteran quarterbacks and what the benefits are.
I’d pay $1,000 to see Mahomes pull a Kermit the Frog meme sipping tea saying, “but that’s none of my business” for laughs since he sounds just like him. Who will be the Number 1 overall draft pick? Who is your Number 1?
