People talk about Lebron this and Lebron that, Michael Jordan never needed to put his good deeds out for everyone to see them. However, as of yesterday, the true G.O.A.T. became emotional as he opened up two clinics that he started in Charlotte.

The clinics are located in low-income neighborhoods where the residents will be able to attain access to preventive care especially for those uninsured or underinsured.

“The money is not the issue to me. It’s the commitment to be able to make a difference and make an impact to a community that in the future will make an impact on the city of Charlotte,” said Jordan, who owns the hometown Hornets. ” … This is a very emotional thing for me to be able to give back to a community that has supported me over the years.”

Jordan cited a 2014 study by Harvard and the University of California at Berkeley that poor children in Charlotte have the worst odds of those in any large U.S. city to lift themselves from poverty. The report led to the creation of a Charlotte-Mecklenburg task force to address the city’s economic-mobility challenges.

Michael Jordan being the multi-billionaire that he is, never had to do this, but this goes to the quality of the man he’s always been. He is the Greatest! The Great one vowed to do more, saying “this is just the start of a battle of being able to touch as many people as we can.”

“I can only give in gratitude for what I can never repay.”

Jordan’s philanthropic history includes a 13-year run of the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational charity golf tournament and the Jordan Institute for Families at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill’s School of Social Work, founded in 1996. As a player, Jordan also once donated his entire salary in the 2001-02 season to 9/11-related charitable groups.

Thank you Michael!
