Favre’s Instagram page Tuesday left social media buzzing with speculation the 49-year-old quarterback planned to return to the league in 2020. Even though he said he was hacked and the post was deleted shortly after I could see it happening.

Should Brett Favre come out of retirement if he's able to play?

“A true champion sticks to his or her calling,” the message read. “I will be coming out of retirement and making my return to playing in the NFL for the 2020 season. Stay tuned for more #news!”

Brett Favre Tweet Said He's Coming out of Retirement! Are You Ready? 1 Favre

I am the biggest Favre fan and I’m in Kansas City, I consider Favre a top 5 quarterback of all time. Being from Kansas City and having the new version of Brett Favre in Patrick Mahomes the headlines would explode. Favre is in the best shape of his life and his arm is still strong as hell.

I’m saying it if Favre comes out of retirement he needs to go to Denver so we as fans could be treated to a Favre vs. Mahomes match at least twice in one season. The Gunslinger matches to end all gunslinger matchups. Plus he’s a way better quarterback than anything Joe Flacco has to offer even with him being retired. Favre has had time to recover and rest allowing his body to get healed from playing in 300+ consecutive games.

He’s the iron man for a reason and time heals all wounds right? Could you imagine playing against the talent now and matchups against Baker Mayfield and going up against the likes of Rodgers, Brady, and Brees one more time? That’s blockbuster folks and Favre is the most Must-See QB in NFL history.

What are your thoughts? He’d be the only NFL Hall of Fame quarterback to become an active player again and most likely be a starter.
