The head of the Gambino crime family was shot multiple times outside his home on Staten Island and taken to the hospital in critical condition, news outlets reported. Police confirmed Cali died of his injuries. He is the first New York mob boss to die in a targeted killing since 1985.
It’s been more than 30 years since a Gambino godfather was targeted. Paul Castellano was assassinated outside Sparks Steakhouse in December 1985. Castellano was murdered by the infamous mob boss John Gotti.
Only the bosses of the other families can ok a hit like this and if there really is a war going on then we’ll just have to see how this plays out and who else may be next. The MOB is alive and well ladies and gentlemen.
