Senator Kamala Harris is dropping out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination after months of slumping poll numbers, a dramatic shift for the worse after being a promising front runner.
she first launched her campaign leaping her forward but that did not last. As of late, the 55-year-old Senator had multiple run-ins with Tulsi Gabbard and Joe Biden really didn’t spike the needle to move forward. However, her record as a lawyer for the state of California, I believe really punished her chances of gaining any momentum going forward considering how unapologetic she was.
Kamala’s campaign felt old and running out of steam especially considering the staff was not happy anymore and clearly lacked the commitment to sustain the campaign going forward.
She was never going to win, let’s be honest. I think the positive thing to come out of this is that young girls and boys of color saw somebody who looked liked them and hopefully it gives them the motivation to do better and make them realize wherever they live they too can make it and maybe one day become president instead of just running for it.
