Breaking: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called for the Drafting of Articles of Impeachment against Donald Trump
“In the course of today’s events, it becomes necessary for us to address, among other grievances, the president’s failures to execute the law,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says, invoking the Founders’ desire to declare independence from “an oppressive monarch.”
“Sadly, but with confidence and humility…today I am asking our chairmen to proceed with articles of impeachment,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says.
Pelosi’s statement came one day after the first impeachment hearing in the House Judiciary Committee, which heard from legal experts who analyzed whether Trump’s conduct was impeachable.
The committee’s next step is expected to be a look into the evidence presented by the House Intelligence Committee, which released on Tuesday a 300-page report detailing the “findings” of the House’s two-month investigation into Trump and Ukraine.
This witchhunt continues and it’s a complete sham that won’t deliver anything since it has zero proof to legitimize it. The president welcomed his impeachment.
