Harvey Weinstein Says “He Should Be Remembered for Everything He Did To Help Women”

How did Harvey help the careers of women who refused to submit to his demands? Let him tell you!

Weinstein did the interview from the great rooms in the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center on Friday, a day after three-hour spinal surgery to remove a trio of bone plates compressing his vertebrae. He said he sustained the back injury in an Aug. 17 car accident. His intention were to show the public he wasn’t faking.

I’m sure after his trial, he will somehow make a great recovery as if nothing ever happened. Weinstein refused to talk about any of the lawsuits filed against him.

In his interview with the Post, the movie mogul said, “I feel like the forgotten man,” and cited opportunities he gave women in Hollywood over the past decades, including a movie deal he gave Gwyneth Paltrow, one of his accusers.

It all got eviscerated because of what happened, … My work has been forgotten.’

Harvey Weinstein to the New York Post

“I made more movies directed by women and about women than any filmmaker, and I’m talking about 30 years ago. I’m not talking about now when it’s vogue. I did it first! I pioneered it!” he told the Post.

In just weeks before his trial on rape and sexual assault charges, the Hollywood producer and former film studio agreed to a lousy $25 million settlement for the women and employees which brings an end to nearly every assault lawsuit filed against Weinstein and his now-bankrupt, The Weinstein Company. The settlement is pending court approval and a final signoff by all involved parties.

More than 80 women have accused the former studio head of sexual assault and or harassment. Weinstein has pleaded not guilty and maintains that any sexual activity was consensual.
