It’s Official Roy Moore is Running for Senate Again

Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore announces he will run for U.S. Senate next year. The Alabama Republican is running despite party opposition. His last campaign sank amid sexual misconduct allegations.

Should Roy Moore run for Senate?

“I believe in America,” Roy Moore said at his Senate campaign launch in Montgomery, Alabama.

“I fought for our country in Vietnam. I fought for our country in its laws as chief justice. I fought for morality to preserve our moral institutions. And I’m ready to do it again.”

This is a horrible idea especially because of the stigma of being a pedophile stains a person reputation. Moore has been accused of sexual misconduct against five women, all who were between the ages of 14 and 18 at the time of the alleged assaults.

The age of sexual consent in Alabama, the state where the alleged assaults actually occurred, is 16. When compared to the legal age to buy alcohol (21) or purchase a car (19) in the state. If Moore believes the location was stolen from him in 2017 then how the hell will it not be yanked from him this time as it should be.

The Democrats just received a huge gift here because no matter how bad their candidate is they will win this by a landslide. Unless allegations or concrete proof comes out similar to Moore they have this in the bag. Are there more stories about this terrible guy to come out still? He should cancel his candidate for Senate the same day he started it.

The GOP is saying they don’t want Moore, but don’t forget, after withdrawing party support for him in 2017 when he was accused of child molestation and sexual assault, they reinstated it when Trump endorsed him. The president says he will not endorse Moore.
