Shootout at the California Border

At about 7:30 pm a white pickup truck arrived at the San Ysidro port of entry to enter the United States. The driver failed to stop for an inspection and there was an officer involved shooting.

The California Border Patrol did confirm that a man was shot and killed by authorities after the stop at the checkpoint in which he then opened fire at 7 CBP agents.

San Diego Police Department said, “suspect began firing a gun out of his vehicle towards the officers, then exited his vehicle and continued firing at the officers.” The gun battle involved 15-30 shots. Below is a video of someone waiting to cross the border and were able to hear some of the gunshots.
