Sports
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs have earned a spot in the AFC Championship for the first time since they were lead by H.O.F. QB Joe Montana. The Chiefs will take on the New England Patriots here in Kansas City Sunday, January 20, 2019, @ 6:40 EST. The game is going to be in blizzard-like conditions with temperatures nearing -5° and with wind chill -15°. The question is will the new lion take down the old lion? Will a legacy finally be put to an end or will the legend continue to grow even at his age?
Kansas City Chiefs announced yesterday that Chiefs die-hard Melissa Etheridge will be performing the National Anthem this Sunday at the AFC Championship Game.
Patrick Mahomes
I was correct and the right award winner won the MVP yesterday in the new superstar QB of the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes also won the offensive player of the year.
Baker Mayfield
The new prince of Cleveland Baler Mayfield won AFC rookie of the year.
NFC
The New Orleans Saint and the Los Angeles Rams have both advanced to the NFC Championship. The gale will be played on Sunday, January 20, 2019, @ 3:05 p.m. EST. Will the veteran outshine the newcomer or will the new guard outduel the old man.
Bob Costas
Bob Costas finally exits NBC after 40 years, with the 13-time Olympic host ‘quietly’ agreeing to a settlement on his multi-million dollar contract. Costas will continue work on MLB Network and may do hybrids on HBO.
New York Jets
Jet sign Adam Gase as head coach.
Muhammad Ali
Louisville airport to be renamed in honor of Muhammad Ali. This will be the greatest Aiport ever 😉.

Rihanna
RiRi just filed the lawsuit, obtained by The Blast, against Ronald Fenty and a company called Fenty Entertainment. Rihanna claims her father, and another man named Moses Perkins created an entertainment company and have been soliciting business acting as agents of the singer.
Bad Boys
Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are reunited to announce that Bad Boys 3 is finally happening.
Netflix
Netflix is raising prices for all of its U.S. subscribers. It’s most popular plan will go from $11 to $13 per month. The company says the price increase will help pay for original shows and finance debt.
Politics
President Trump
President Donald Trump has signed the Government Employee Fair Treatment Act that will require some 800,000 federal employees to be compensated for wages lost or work performed during the partial government shutdown. The bill ensures back pay for furloughed workers and mandates that the roughly 500,000 employees working without immediate pay during the shutdown are able to take previously scheduled leave without consequence.
Excepted and exempted federal employees who work during a shutdown are already guaranteed back pay by law. Furloughed workers have historically always received their paychecks retroactively.
Microsoft
Microsoft will invest $500 million in affordable housing in the Seattle area to address inequality caused by the tech industry. Will they be constructed to eavesdrop on civilians, what’s the catch?

A witness at the US trial of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán has testified that he told US authorities the accused Mexican drug lord once paid a $100m bribe to former Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto. What a surprise?

Google employees melted down after the word “family” was used in a company presentation, documents obtained by TheDCNF show. Employees were upset that the word was used in a way that links families with children, which they argued was homophobic.
