Welcome back for the first edition of Rants in a month and also the first Rant in the beautiful month of December. Sorry I’ve been working a lot, just been trying to catch up. Let’s get to which were the most interesting headlines we missed this week.
My Kansas City Chiefs announced last night they have released Kareem Hunt, citing that Hunt was not truthful with management in internal discussions regarding his altercation in February. All this after a video surfaced appearing to show him pushing and kicking a woman after she spits and called him a n*****. The NFL has expelled Hunt indefinitely.
They expelled Kareem Hunt, yet allow people who commit sexual assaults like Jameis Winston and Big “Rape” Rothlisberger in the NFL still, the hypocrisy is baffling.
The XFL has announced their 8 hosting cities in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, St. Louis, Seattle, Tamba Bay & Washington D.C. The league is set to take off in 2020, yet I wonder if they will attempt to snag players from the draft this year even though it is the NFL draft.
Kid Rock Vs Joy Behar
Joy Behar responds to Kid Rock calling her a “bitch” by inviting him on “The View” as she completes 20 years on the all-women historic show created by Barbara Walters.
CNN Fires Marc Lamont
Israel advocacy groups launched a campaign to get Marc Lamont Hill fired from CNN because he advocated for Palestinian rights during a speech at the United Nations. Now, people are pushing back and calling for his reinstatement as he should be. Lamont spoke facts but as soon as the state of the Israeli government is criticized bigotry is called when unjustified.
The Winner Is?
Italian researchers used computer algorithms to rank the “Most Influential Films of All Time.” ?️?️
1. The Wizard of Oz
2. Star Wars
47,000 films were calculated in the study at the University of Turin. Makes sense our culture often uses Wizard of Oz as shorthand in speech. From “over the rainbow” to “no place like home” to “man behind the curtain” and of course “the wicked witch of the west” when describing your mother in law…I’m kidding.
‘Daredevil’ Canceled By Netflix After 3 Seasons.
According to Forbes contributor, Ashley Stahl Generation Z will be the most conservative generation since World War 2. Stahl also states, “According to research, Gen Z is more individualistic, more conservative both socially and fiscally, and they’re already making waves of impact on our political system.” mistakes are meant to be learned from and not duplicated and Generation Z looks like they are in their way.
Number 41 is Dead
BREAKING: Former President George H.W. Bush has died at age 94. The world is in a better place with this man gone, I have no sympathy for an evil piece of garbage like GHWB. He was the starter of so many wars and behind innocent civilians dying as head of the CIA, Senator, Vice President and President of the United States. He destroyed worlds and entire civilizations because of greed, oil, and power.
Starbucks Vs YouPorn
Wait…..what? Starbucks announced that it will block customers in all its US stores from using their free Wi-Fi to consume porn. BUT…YouPorn tells employees it’s banning Starbucks coffee in its offices because the coffee chain is blocking porn on its store wi-fi. I don’t what the hell is going on now.
Canada’s Supreme Court
A Vice Media reporter has lost in the Supreme Court of Canada and will have to turn over the records of his conversations with an alleged ISIS member to the police. In a unanimous decision today, the court upheld a lower court’s decision regarding reporter Ben Makuch’s work. Is this right? Should he of had to?
Since it’s the first of the month and that time of the year I just wanted to spread some beautiful photos of my hidden gem of a city.
We truly have something special, Kansas City has made the top 10 and only American city in that top 10 for “best trips of 2019” by National Geographic Traveler. Since the flip of the switch on Thanksgiving here’s what the lights look like for my city right now.
