“Chase the vision not the money, the money will end up following you,” said the CEO of Zappos. It really speaks volumes especially if you have a passion project or chasing the dream, and are currently struggling financially. However, those words make up an automatic boost of self-confidence and self-esteem.
Several years ago I spent thousands upon thousands on law school applications but was denied. Going to law school and becoming a lawyer was the only thing I ever wanted to become since I was 3 years old. I received dozens of rejection letters and became discouraged and bitter as time began to move. Granted, I was extremely fatigued for going to school 2 years straight including summers and night school.
I did things wrong and instead of utilizing that bitterness, I victimized myself because of it. I went down a dark road of negativity. Recently over the past year, I have come full circle to where I was before I hit the fatigue. My outlook is clearer, my mind feels better, I am thinking clearly, I’ve recently begun to gain a passion for the things I use to love and more importantly have applied to a couple law schools in the past few weeks.
I understand it has nothing to do with me being good enough if I don’t get accepted. It’s more important is still chasing the dream, I’ve tried again, and continue to go forward and not give up.
